Urgent objections needed to protect Fellgate greenbelt

South Tyneside Friends of the Earth is urging members of the public to act immediately in order to protect the South Tyneside's at risk greenbelt.

Mr Michael Lee as been appointed as the Local Development Framework Programme Officer for the examination in public that will decide the future of the greenbelt land at Fellgate, Jarrow. Mr Lee has given people until the 8th July to register their objections to the development. Mr Lee can be emailed at michaellee@southtyneside.gov.uk.

STFOE spokesperson Bryan Atkinson, said:

"Time is short. It's vital that those who have been involved with the campaign to protect Fellgate from decimation make their views known now."
